Urgent attention of Members!
Dear Members
As you are aware, our Annual General Meeting will be held in the clubhouse at 7.30pm tomorrow (Wednesday).
Part of the meeting will involve the election of members who form the Committee – those people who act on behalf of all members to keep the club going, grounds and premises maintained, bills paid, the bar stocked and staffed, along with all the other tasks and services which often go unnoticed. The Committee work as a team but also each have specific responsibilities, and all support each other and their roles.
However, at present, we do not have volunteers for the roles of Vice Chair, Treasurer or Marketing. Filling these (or any) vacant roles is vital to maintaining the ongoing viability of our club, which is a members club, run by the members on behalf of and for the benefit of all members.
Can you help please? Can you offer your services in any of these areas?
If you can, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch with an existing member of the Committee team or either Heather Green (vc@burtontsc.co.uk) or Angela (secretary@burtontsc.co.uk) for more details, to answer any questions or just to have a chat about any of the roles.
As with all Committee roles, no member may stand for election to the Committee until they are in their second year of membership of the Club, and many of positions require some experience and/or qualifications and accreditation. DBS checks will be obligatory for elected officers.
We also look forward to seeing you tomorrow, at the meeting.
