Tennis Update and Junior Halloween Party

What a season it's been for Burton Tennis Club! With around 70 players representing the club across our league teams, 2026 has been another fantastic year for competitive tennis.

We've seen league titles, promotions, unbeaten runs, some brilliant close matches and, most importantly, plenty of people getting involved.

Mixed Leagues – Leading the Way!

The standout performance has to be our Mixed A team, who finished top of Division 2 with an incredible 11 wins and one draw from 12 matches. An unbeaten season, 42 points and a thoroughly deserved league title!

Mixed B also had an excellent season, finishing second in Division 3 and securing promotion. A great achievement in a competitive division and promotion next year.

Mixed C finished fifth in Division 4, picking up three wins and three draws and continuing to build experience as a team and giving players experience.

Men's Leagues – Plenty to Celebrate!

Men's A finished an impressive third in Division 1, with five wins and four draws, showing they can compete with some of the strongest teams in the league.

Men's B had a brilliant season in Division 3, putting together an outstanding late-season run to secure promotion. Taking 19 out of a possible 20 points towards the end of the season was a fantastic achievement taking that last promotion spot.

Men's C finished third in Division 6 with six wins and four draws. Despite a four-point deduction, they remained competitive towards the top of the table.

Men's D had a tougher season in Division 7, finishing sixth, but still managed three wins, including an excellent 4–0 victory against Barton C. Plenty of positives to build on next year.

Ladies' Leagues – Another Strong Year!

Ladies A finished third in Division 1, winning four matches and securing their place among the league's strongest teams.

Ladies B had a fantastic season, finishing second in Division 3 and earning promotion. With five wins and four draws, they showed great consistency throughout the year.

Ladies C, led by Wendy, brought plenty of enthusiasm to their first season. They finished fifth in Division 5, with two wins and three draws, but arguably led the league in enjoying themselves! A brilliant addition to our competitive teams.
