Further Clarification Regarding Covid-Secure Squash & Racketball
Hi Everyone,
We have already received quite a few questions regarding the current rules of engagement for Covid-secure squash, so I will try to clarify things.
Basically, unless you are living together in the same household, you will only be able to do the following when we open the club:
1) Engage in solo practice
2) Practise Covid-safe training routines with any one person from your designated squash/racketball ‘bubble’ (maximum of 6 members) in which social distancing must be maintained throughout.
3) This means that you can rotate with players from your squash/racketball bubble within the same session, but THERE SHOULD BE NO MORE THAN TWO PLAYERS ON COURT AT ANY ONE TIME.
4) You cannot belong to more than one squash/racketball bubble
As pointed out in the previous email, we are insisting on squash/racketball bubbles to minimise the impact of a potential incidence of Covid-19: it will allow us to contain any potential problem(s).
For example, if a player from your bubble starts showing signs of contracting Covid-19, then you and everyone else in your bubble must self-isolate and not visit the club for 14 days.
If we were to allow all members to play each other (i.e., not have the bubble system) we would have to close the entire club if ever there was an outbreak.
