Delivery of Services
Dear Member,
Occasionally, the club receives goods from various suppliers to service the on-going needs of the club (e.g., bar).
For reasons of health and safety, the delivery lorry parks on the driveway at the foot of the pathway leading to the tennis courts. This means that heavy goods, such as beer barrels, can take the most direct route to the cellars, rather than be carried up from the road.
If when visiting the club you notice that a delivery vehicle is parked in the driveway during this short unloading process, please either park on the side of the road instead, or use the parallel private driveway in order to drive around the lorry to access the carpark at your own risk (many members do this quite satisfactorily).
On no account must any member park in front of the delivery lorry causing its exit from the club to be blocked. This might sound like an obvious request, but it has happened several times now, hence this email to all members.
These deliveries do not happen very often (1 x Molson Coors delivery every 2 to 3 weeks and 1 x cash and carry delivery every 6 to 8 weeks); furthermore, most deliveries occur during the morning on weekdays, so most members are unaffected.
Burton Tennis & Squash Club is very committed to keeping its members and visitors safe. It is also important, for the smooth running of the club, that we maintain a harmonious and professional relationship with our suppliers.
