FUN DAY LAST SUNDAY
Dear Members
The Committee wish to thank all those of you who participated and supported the event last Sunday.
What a fantastic response with a Tennis tournament taking place outside kindly organised by Andrew Coveney and indoors a Racketball event organised by Colin Morris.
It was a great day seeing some of our juniors on court as well and their confidence in the integration with adult members was clearly evident and everyone's feedback was that they thoroughly enjoyed the day.
The bar was kindly manned in the afternoon by Carol Grace, BBQ delivered by Dave Watson with Andrea Luckett in support with the buffet.
Great team work and club members efforts enabled us throughout the day raise monies for our designated charity for the day, that you received information on in a previous email - Ottilie's Neuroblastoma Journey Fund.
The total amount raised was £900, which is an outstanding achievement on the back of members generosity in one afternoon.
Special thanks to Carly Dakin who kindly donated her winnings from the blackout card of £100.
The funds raised will be submitted via the Go Fund Me page set up by parents Sophie and James Rushby.
