Suggestions for February
Dear Members
Thank you for your continued use of the suggestion box in the clubhouse lounge.
February's suggestions as follows:
1) Big TV in bottom left corner - would benefit everyone at the bar, this would pay for itself as it would attract a lot more people to enjoy a drink - not named
Committee response:- progress was/is already underway in support of this suggestion, the social team are looking to fund out of existing social accrued monies and also source a suitable bracket to enable a larger TV be purchased that can to be pushed back out of the way as not to be an obstruction during function nights etc.
2) Dart board in the far corner of the bar area around from the court viewing gallery, this is currently wasted space that no-one uses, this would benefit anyone who wants recreational options in the bar area - not named
Committee response:- this was discussed at the committee meeting and agreed not to be acted upon, due to this area being available for anyone seeking a quiet area at the club but it would also obstruct the trophy cabinet which is to stay in place. The committee also utilise this area for meetings.
3) Please fix the multi gym station - benefit club members - not named
Committee response:- unfortunately when the apparatus was damaged it was not reported to the committee and no sign 'out of order' placed in situ.
May we remind any member that discovers any faulty equipment or property at the club to raise this immediately (not via the suggestion box please) and to stick a 'do not use broken' notice in place. This could and nearly did end in serious injury. The committee are getting this repaired and the broken part has now been sent away.
One other quick note to remind all members when playing any racket sport on either squash or tennis courts, non-marking footwear should be worn and also appropriate footwear to play safely.
