Revision of bar hours, prices and appeal for bar staff
Dear Members
As a Committee we have recently reviewed all court playing times over Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, and so in order to make it more appealing for members to come forward for bar duties, the opening hours over those three days from Monday 28th October 2024 will be 5.30pm until 8.30pm (8.30pm being last orders), the club will be vacated by 8.45pm.
Exceptions to these club closure hours are organised social activities by the Committee for club members and when Team matches are being played, whereby the Team Captains will continue to lock the club at the end of the match when opportunities have been given to shower and change.
Currently there is an opportunity and a requirement for bar staff on Friday and Saturday evenings, once every three weeks, and as previously explained, a bar member receives a free BTSC Membership and must have been a member for 12 months, training will be provided. So please send enquiries to bar@burtontsc.co.uk
Please note on evenings where there is no rostered bar person to cover the bar, the bar will remain closed and not covered by any other person.
Also as a Committee bar prices have been reviewed and with an ambition of optimising all revenue streams into club finances, there will be a price increase across all products from Monday 28th October 2024. We will however still be competitive with other local outlets.
Part of the above changes have been implemented from suggestions by members to create strategies to increase club revenue, that also includes a forthcoming review of furnishing and fittings to make it more appealing to members with comfort in mind.
