Use of the Club Driveway and the Adjoining Driveway
Dear Members
The Club has been contacted by a resident of one of the five houses off the driveway which a
a safety issue to the Committee’s attention.
Also a club member, I live in one of the five houses off the driveway which adjoins the Club's driveway.
They have informed the Club that some vehicles leaving the car park drive straight over the divide between the two driveways and then go down to the junction with Ashby Road on the residents' driveway. They acknowledge that it is harder for both themselves and members to see the road or the pavement since the new wall has been erected and that this may well be a contributory factor to drivers using the other driveway.
Their concern is the potential for an accident between a car leaving the car park in this way when one belonging to a resident is making its way down at the same time. This might also represent a risk to residents walking down the driveway from the houses.
The Committee acknowledges that the visibility issues associated with the new wall may need some further consideration but in the meantime would like to ask the members avoid using the driveway to the neighbouring houses, whenever possible.
